I started Sad Mums Club because even thought I really loved having my son, becoming a mother was HARD.

My understanding of post-natal depression was mostly fake news. Thinking it was only about self-harm. But I didn’t know the initial symptoms or that it can escalate without treatment. Once I got help, I felt the clouds lift and began enjoying my new life as a mum!

PND can feel dark and emotionally complicated but it’s very common and it’s not your fault. There’s no real ‘fun’ way to talk about depression and often the thought of talking about it is overwhelming enough. Which is why I’m hoping Sad Mums Club and the post-natal packs will help provide awareness in a simple, relatable and totally cute way.

And from one mama to another, I want you to know that there’s no shame in having PND and you don’t have to be at breaking point to ask for help.

You can do this, but you don’t have to do it alone.

So let’s talk about what we’re not about…

No Content

Our aim is not to make more content that keeps people on their phones. Our socials will only ever be used to build a positive community and share upcoming events.

No Diagnosis

We are not a team of doctors and psychiatrists, so we cannot provide diagnosis. We are a small mother-led organisation designed to direct you in finding the professional guidance & local support you need.

No Profits

We want to keep providing post-natal packs freely to those who need them most. So all the funding we receive goes toward this mission.

No Opinions

You’re probably receiving more than enough unsolicited advice. Our goal is not to make our opinions heard, but to help you find your voice. We want to empower you to speak out by providing a one-stop shop to all the local, professional support available – without judgment.
